A guided creative writing workshop designed to get the creative juices flowing in a fun, pressure-free environment. Writing exercises, prompts and creative group activities to overcome the terror of the blank page and experiment with new forms and themes.

WRITE ON ART
Discover ekphrasis by using visual art as inspiration for new pieces of poetry or short prose. Practice deep description and experiment with new forms while meeting pother writers in the creative surrounds of an art gallery.
FEELING OUT LOUD
A relaxed session of writing poetry as personal catharsis. Let your feelings flow onto the page with a series of writing prompts and the gift of time to write, with the option to share your poetic works out loud in a safe, facilitated space.

Gain confidence when presenting aloud to an audience. Using your original writing or a variety of existing texts – including poetry, informal prose, dramatic monologue and political speeches – explore structure, dynamics and rhythm in the delivery of your text and learn techniques to engage your audience.
*This workshop could also culminate in a spoken word event.
short play in a day
Get that awesome idea for a play out of your head and onto paper! Choose an idea to work through the writing process and have a concept sketch, a narrative outline and some scene content created by the end of the workshop.
6 hours (whole day or 2 x 3 hours)
Actors are invited to hone a monologue for performance, audition or assessment.
In a 1:1 or small group setting, actors will analyse their text to find themes, character and story, and explore techniques with voice and movement to make their solo performance shine.
