Chisholm St: Australian Voices / Fri 27 & Sat 28 Aug

Chisholm St is an intimate experience for audiences with seating capped at 15 or less, depending on the current lockdown restrictions. Launched in March 2021, this monthly performance platform was born from host Bronwyn Bliaklock’s desire to support local musicians and wordsmiths.

August’s offering features contemporary chamber music and poetry by an all-Ballarat collective of creatives.

With fingers firmly crossed against the threat of another covid lockdown, we present a special program of Australian words and music in Chisholm St this August.

Chisholm St: Australian Voices features contemporary chamber music by Anthony Lyons (Melbourne composer)/Nathan Curnow (poetry) and Amadis Lacheta (Metcalf composer), and an all-Ballarat collective of musicians including Bronwyn Blaiklock (piano), Sharon Turvey (voice), Elena Polevaya (cello) and Sarah Goodbourne (flute).

Also featured is poet, Megan J Riedl, who will enthrall you with her intimate and powerful voice.
